New to Hillcrest

What can I expect when I show up?

Hillcrest Baptist is a family friendly atmosphere with people from just about every background and stage of life. People young and old, singles, and families have all found Hillcrest to be a place they feel loved and accepted.

Our services are a time of celebration as our praise team leads us in worshipping God through psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. We try teaching God's Word in a way that is practical to everyday life.

Do I need to show up early?

While we start our worship service at 11:00, we begin at 10:55 with announcements. Because our church is such a loving church, many people are still visiting and walking around at this time. We would love a chance to visit and get to know you.

What about my kids?

At Hillcrest Baptist, we love kids! We offer Nursery services for children birth - kindergarten during worship service. We use fun videos, lots of great high-energy songs, puppets, and age-appropriate Bible Studies to teach Scripture during Sunday School. We also have many options for kids throughout the week. Check out the Childrens Ministry page. If your kids are in 7th - 12th grade, you will want to check out the Student Ministry page.

How should I dress?

We know you might be worried about wearing the right thing when you come to church; we invite you to come as you are. Whether you are more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, polo and khakis, or a suit and tie, you'll fit right in at Hillcrest.

Here are some things we want you to know about us...

We love God! We really do. We love that He loves us unconditionally and that even though we have mistakes in our past, He loves us beyond our history. Therefore, it just makes sense for us to love Him. We believe the words of Jesus when He gave us the greatest commandment, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind." We demonstrate our love to God by being a witness for Him. It is our prayer and our life's mission to live as though we truly love God.

We love people! If we love God then we have to love people. There are many ways to show people we love them. We believe that one of the greatest ways is to invest in their lives. As we invest in the lives of people, we have a unique opportunity to challenge them in their growth. This challenge is best defined when Jesus told his disciples, "Go and make disciples..." Our goal is not to make people become like us, but rather by us loving God, they witness our love for them and desire to become a disciple of the King.

We love God and We love People! It's that simple.
